NEWLY ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICIALS
The Commission on Election (Comelec) Culasi, Antique headed by Dinah P. Paciente-Election Officer III, together with Filma Y. Hilario-Municipal Treasurer and Ms. Ma. Wilnah L. Gindap-DepEd PSDS as members of Municipal Board of Canvassers (MBOC) proclaimed incumbent mayor, Jose Jeffrey Y. Lomugdang (NPC) on May 10 at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. Despite having no rival in mayoral race, Mayor Lomugdang garnered 17, 438 total votes in 44 barangays.
Comelec also proclaimed Josue C. Xavier (NUP) as Culasi newly-elected vice mayor with a total vote of 15, 451 over his opponent-the incumbent vice mayor Bibiano Alolod-Herco (PDPLBN) with 6, 429 votes.
Out of 32 Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member candidates, 8 won the heart of Culasiños.
In number 1 spot is Pete Joseph “Jojo” Lomugdang-Rivera (NPC) with 13, 137 votes. Rivera is the current Municipal SK Federation President.
In second spot is May “Bembem” Maayo-Alorro (NPC) with 11, 510 votes. She is a daughter of former SB Member and now Municipal Administrator Conrado D. Maayo, Jr. and late Retired DepEd District Supervisor Evajanie C. Maayo. Sister of former SB Member late Noe C. Maayo.
Arsenio “Boy Ala” Tolosa-Alarcon (NPC) gaining 10, 501 votes in third spot. Alarcon is an incumbent to the position. He is also the number 1 SB Member in 2019 National and Local Elections.
The fourth newly-elected SB Member is Larry John “Boy Larry” Ballenas-Alocilja (NPC) with 10, 247 votes. He is the son of current SB Member Pilar Ballenas-Alocilja.
Incumbent SB Member July “July” Dujali-Dimacutac (NPC) garnered 9, 171 votes earned the fifth position.
Emmanuel “Swati” Rivera-Palacios, Sr. (NUP) gaining 8, 485 votes is in the sixth position. He is an incumbent SB Member.
Rosene “Deding” Magsipoc-Alvarez (NUP) with 8, 391 votes is in the seventh spot. She is the wife of current SB Member Nerie B. Alvarez.
In the eighth spot is Larry James “Kabong Larry” Elizaga-Salazar (IND) with 7, 202. Kabong Larry is the son of current SB Member Lerma E. Salazar.
