Culasi is 2020 GAPAS (Gawad sa Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan) Awardee
The Municipality of Culasi, Antique, headed by Mayor Jose Jeffrey Lomugdang, joins today’s Virtual Celebration of DSWD’s 70th Founding anniversary.
Culasi is 2020 GAPAS (Gawad sa Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan) Awardee, under the (Pagkilala sa Natatangng Kontribusyon sa Bayan ( PaNaTaKo sa Bayan )awards, as Model LGU Implementing KALAHI-CIDSS. Recognizing the role of the Local Government Unit in the implementation of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office I awards plaque of Recognition to the Municipality of Bauang for being selected as the Regional Gawad sa Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan (GAPAS) awardee under the Model LGU Implementing Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Category
The LGU of Culasi, Antique is one of the set 5 Pantawid Pamilya areas which started the program implementation in 2012. Since the program started, the LGU has consistently made available services programs, activities and sustained the provision of Pantawid Fund under the Poverty Alleviation Fund to compliment the Pantawid Program implementation geared towards uplifting the level of well-being of all beneficiaries in the locality since 2017 to present, the LGU maintained the sustainability and implementation of the funded Annual Investment Plan of the Pantawid Municipal Operations Office.
The award was received by Mayor Jose Jeffrey Lomugdang.
